Our Impact
Numbers tell part of the story. The rest is written in the lives of the neighbors we have had the privilege of serving.
More than numbers —
neighbors helped
Every figure on this page represents a real person in a real moment of need — a family that kept their lights on, a neighbor who stayed in their home, a child who woke up to something under the tree at Christmas.
We are a small, all-volunteer conference. We do not have paid staff, and we do not keep funds beyond what is needed to operate. What we have is a community of Vincentians who show up — week after week, visit after visit — because they believe that charity, given personally and with love, changes lives.
The figures below reflect our last full fiscal year, October 2024 through September 2025. If you would like to support this work, your gift goes directly to serving the neighbors reflected in these numbers.
97.71% of every dollar we spend goes directly to neighbors in need — rent, utilities, and emergency assistance.
The remaining 2.29% covers the fees and registrations required for us to exist as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit — things like state filing fees and liability insurance. No Vincentian receives any pay or compensation of any kind. No funds are retained as profit.
Overhead consists entirely of required nonprofit registration fees, state filings, and liability insurance. No salaries, no compensation, no retained profit.
Entirely supported by
the generosity of others
We receive no government funding. Every dollar we spend on neighbors comes from the faithful giving of parishioners, supporters, and the parish itself.
Collections from the SVDP poor boxes at St. Paul Catholic Church — the most direct expression of parish support.
A direct contribution from St. Paul Catholic Church — a testament to the parish's commitment to its community ministry.
Gifts from individuals and families who give generously to support the conference's work throughout the year.
A legacy of
unbroken service
Since April of 1931, St. Paul SVDP has served this community without interruption — through economic hardship, through the growth of St. Petersburg, through every season of parish life. More than nine decades of Vincentians, generation after generation, answering the same call.
The faces change. The need remains. And so does the response — personal, compassionate, and rooted in the love of Christ.
“By drawing closer to the poor, we draw closer to God. And we must draw closer to God a little more every day.”— Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, Founder of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul
