What happens after you reach out
1

We Receive Your Request

Your message is received by a Vincentian member. Every request is treated with complete confidentiality and without judgment.

2

We Follow Up With You

A Vincentian will be in touch as soon as possible — please allow up to 2 business days, as we are all volunteers. We will contact you to learn more about your situation and arrange a convenient time to visit.

3

Two Vincentians Visit

We always visit in pairs. We will come to you, listen to your needs, and do everything we can to help — or connect you with someone who can.

Service Area

Who we serve

St. Paul SVDP primarily serves neighbors within the boundaries of St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. If you are unsure whether you fall within our service area, please reach out anyway — we will always do our best to help or direct you to the right conference.

If you are outside our parish boundaries, your local Catholic church can connect you with the nearest SVDP conference.

Not sure if you’re in our area? Reach out anyway — the worst outcome is that we connect you with someone better placed to help.
Common Questions

Before you reach out

Do I need to be Catholic to receive help?
No. We serve all neighbors in need, regardless of faith, background, or circumstance. Our service flows from our faith, but it is offered to everyone.
Will my information be kept private?
Yes. Everything you share with us is treated with complete confidentiality. Your dignity and privacy are our first concern, always.
How quickly will you respond?
We will get back to you as soon as we can. Because we are entirely volunteer-run, please allow up to 2 business days for a response. If your situation is an emergency, please note that in your message.
What kinds of help can you provide?
We assess each situation individually. We can help with utility bills, rent, and other emergency needs when resources allow. For needs outside our capacity, we will connect you with other agencies.
Is assistance guaranteed?
We do our best for every neighbor who contacts us, but assistance is subject to available resources and is not guaranteed. We will always be honest with you about what we are and are not able to provide.
Can I request help for someone else?
Yes. If you know someone in need, you are welcome to reach out on their behalf. We will do our best to follow up directly with the person in need.
